I’m glad you said what you did about the NASB. I have been doing Bible studies for a long time and have found the NASB to be extremely reliable and very accurate.
Double-checking this with highly trustworthy Bible scholars I know has given more confirmation to the fact that the NASB and ESV are widely considered to be two of the best modern English word-for-word translations or the original Hebrew and Greek.
These days, with everything being on my computer, I have both the KJV and the NASB open at the same time while going through studies, double-checking verses, etc. And if you’re doing word studies, that also keeps the translation “honest”. Meanwhile, my One Year Bible is ESV. I believe being that thorough is part of “accurately handling the word of truth”.
