I talk about my upcoming marriage (in 3 days!!) a few books and why they are changing my outlook, and I take a look at the famous verse of Romans 8:28 to see if we really can lean all of our weight on it in times of trouble.

Dear Chris and his Lovely-Bride,
Congratulations!
Eight years and three children into our marriage, I want you to know how many blessings, challenges, and changes are up ahead for both of you!
I went into marriage with many ideas about how well I would do as the leader of my family, only to see (and very quickly, I might add) how selfish and utterly unfit for the task I was. Praise the Lord that He does not will that I should remain as such!
Please, please, please, make a daily habit of praying together; make a game of seeing how quickly you can forgive each other; and when you want to change something about your spouse (and you will) just DON’T TRY IT! Instead, take time daily to humble approach the our Father in Heaven with your complaints and ask Him to (1) change you if necessary and (2) change your spouse in the His own timing. Oh, and never, ever criticize your lovely wife in front of others, even in jest. Praise her whenever possible.
Blessings and peace on you both.
Sincerely,
Nate (Neito) Stratton
